SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Police Department has arrested Michael Lynn Fowler, 43, after he allegedly broke into and stole items from the Sylacauga Sports Complex.
The crime took place on Thursday, July 6, 2017. Video surveillance was crucial in the process of the investigation, and the complex was able to provide video evidence to the investigations division Friday morning.
During the investigation and after reviewing the surveillance tape, police were able to identify Fowler as the offender. Police say he was located near the area of the complex at the time of his arrest.
In a press release, SPD stated the items taken were located, recovered, and returned to the complex.
Fowler has been charged with 3rd Degree Burglary. This is a Class C Felony. Punishment for a Class C Felony is no more than 10 years or less than one-year and one-day.
Bond has not been set for Fowler at this time but is expected to be set by Monday, July 10.
