SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The holiday season officially kicks off in Sylacauga this Sunday, Nov. 26, with the official lighting of the Christmas tree in front of City Hall.
The festive event promises a joyous celebration for the whole family from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Starting at 3:30 p.m., the Christmas activities will include face painting, balloon art, a life-size snow globe, an appearance by Santa, snow play, and delightful train rides.
The Southern Dance and Performing Arts Company will keep spirits high with entertainment throughout the afternoon.
The highlight of the event, the official tree lighting ceremony, will take place at 6:30 p.m., marking the beginning of the holiday season in Sylacauga.
