This month’s American Hero is Mack Howell.
Howell joined the military in 1965. He served in the Air Force for eight years and was trained in San Antonio before being stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi; Wichita Falls, Texas; and the Philippines.
Howell then went on to become an air traffic controller for sixteen years. He was highly regarded, guiding numerous aircrafts out of harm’s way and saving an air pilot that lost his canopy in Vietnam.
Howell comes from a military family, and one of his daughters was born in the Philippines. Next to God and his family, he loves his country.
Congratulations to Mack Howell and thank you for your service!
