SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Coosa Valley Medical Center Auxiliary is sponsoring the annual “Christmas Tree of Love” event this Thursday, Dec. 7.
This celebration is a tradition people look forward to every year, and has been for over 36 years. Anyone can honor the memory of a loved one with a light on the tree. The Christmas season can become a time where everyone is very busy, and this is a time to stop to remember the real meaning of Christmas and who the lights represent.
Chief Business Development Officer Vanessa Green says this event is what kicks off the Christmas season at CVMC. “CVMC Auxiliary has always been a shining light among our CVMC family as they make a difference everyday in the lives of our Medical Center and community. Join us as we dedicate the Tree of Love and honor so many.”
The Auxiliary provides endless hours of volunteer work to CVMC, monetary contributions along with equipment needs and other things throughout the year. It will gather around the tree in the main lobby on Thursday evening along with community members, family, and friends. There will be a special program with a reception following. Every donation is given back to CVMC to purchase equipment and support other needed programs specifically the CVMC Foundation.
The Tree of Love Celebration will begin at 6:00 in the CVMC main lobby. Lights are $2.50 for each name specified or $25 for a specified group of 10 or more. To make a donation for tribute lights, contact a hospital volunteer or the Auxiliary Gift Shop at 256-401-4026 or 256-401-4070.
