SYLACAUGA, Ala. – For about three days, marble was seemingly eclipsed as the predominate white stuff in the Sylacauga area.
At first, most people were in awe, and the surprise Winter storm was a rare Dec. 8-9 treat until major power outages hit due to heavy wet snow settling in trees and on limbs and branches.
Surely the most amazing pictures were taken by firefighter Kyle Mosley with his low-altitude drone from near the Sylacauga Municipal Complex on Saturday morning. Nothing escaped the dense snow as far as the drone’s eye could see.
