FAYETTEVILLE, Ala. – A fire over this past weekend consumed a family’s entire belongings. The house and everything they owned were complete losses, but the Lay Lake Volunteer Fire Department that responded to the fire is helping after the fact on behalf of the family.

A mother and her two children found themselves in dire need of support. The mother has given the Lay Lake Volunteer Fire Department permission to gather clothing and donations in support of their recovery.

With only the clothes on their backs, replenishing essentials is the first step.

The needed clothing sizes are as follows:

Mother: Medium Shirt, Medium (6) Pants, Size 7 Shoe

Daughter, Age 11: Size 12, Size 6 Shoe

Son,Age 8: Size 8-10 Clothes, Size 3.5 Shoe

The family will also be in need of everything else necessary for a home. Donations can be dropped off at Lay Lake Volunteer Fire Department’s station on Heasletts Rd.
