SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. – Law enforcement agencies across Central Alabama are cooperating in the investigation of a series of break-ins across the region, attempting to determine if they are related, along with both preventing future incidents as well as keeping the problem from spreading to surrounding jurisdictions.

All of the break-ins involve eating establishments.

So far, Shelby County break-ins have been reported at Starbucks and Kiku Express in Alabaster, as well as in an unidentified restaurant in Calera.

There was another such incident at Jack’s Restaurants in Jemison, at Exit 219 on I-65.

If you have information that might be useful to the investigation, you are asked to please contact the Criminal Investigations Division of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department by calling (205) 670-6156, or the Secret Witness Line at (205) 669-9116.
