EAST-CENTRAL ALABAMA – From Friday afternoon, Jan. 9 through early Saturday morning, Jan. 10, a strong storm system knocked out power to a large number of electric customers in Clay, Coosa, and Tallapoosa Counties in east-central Alabama.
Power crews accessed the damage and worked tirelessly to get customers reconnected as soon as possible.
Find Energy reports the following statistics from the involved electric providers:
Clay County – 641 out of 9,418 tracked meters (6.81%) were without power.
Coosa County – 4,398 out of 7,952 tracked meters (55.31%) were without power.
Tallapoosa County – 4,319 out of 23,528 tracked meters (18.36%) were without power.
