Late Friday, early Saturday storms leave 9,358 east-central Alabama electricity customers without power

EAST-CENTRAL ALABAMA – From Friday afternoon through early Saturday morning, a strong storm system knocked out power to a large number of electric customers in Clay, Coosa, and Tallapoosa Counties in east-central Alabama. Power crews are out accessing the damage and working to get customers reconnected as soon as is possible.

Find Energy reports the following statistics from the involved electric providers:

Clay County – 641 out of 9,418 tracked meters (6.81%) are without power.

Coosa County – 4,398 out of 7,952 tracked meters (55.31%) are without power.

Tallapoosa County – 4,319 out of 23,528 tracked meters (18.36%) are without power.
