CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Lady Tigers softball team continues to raise the bar as they prepare for the Class 3A Regional Softball Tournament.
The Lady Tigers (20-12) are turning to sophomore Madison McGowen and seventh grader Madison Brooks in the circle hoping to have much success in the Capitol City.
“This team has played very well all season long,” said coach Terrie Sprayberry. “They have something very special, and their bond is something that is very rare. When one of them makes a mistake, the others are right there to lift her up and have her back. We are excited to play down in Montgomery with our first game being against a competitive Reeltown team. I think if the girls bring their A game with a solid defense and hot bats, they will be a force to be reckoned with. I and the rest of the coaching staff look forward to seeing how the team competes and hopefully punching a ticket to the state tournament in Oxford next week.”
Game one is set for 9 a.m. on Friday against Reeltown at Lagoon Park in Montgomery.
Listen to the game live on The Tiger Sports Network on KiX 100.3 or on the RadioAlabama Sports app. Pregame coverage begins at 8:45 a.m.
