SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Knollwood Christian School (KCS) will be hosting a shoe drive fundraiser in Feb. and March of this year in order to raise funds for the school.
Knollwood will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected, as Funds2Orgs will issue a check for the collected shoes.
The funds will be used to benefit the overall operation of the school itself.
Everyone is encouraged to donate shoes that are either gently worn, used and new shoes to either the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce or KCS.
“We are excited about our shoe drive,” said KCS Administrator Amanda Ledbetter. “We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate to us. By doing so, we raise money for the general operating budget and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
