SYLACAUGA Ala. – The Sylacauga City Schools Board of Education approved many key coaching changes throughout the school system at its meeting Tuesday.

Victor Smith will assume the coaching duties for the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball team at Nichols-Lawson Middle School, while longtime varsity boys basketball assistant coach Joel Jones will take over the girls basketball program at NLMS.

Anthony Jacks will join middle school baseball coach Patrick Harris as an assistant. Jacks is also the defensive coordinator for the high school’s football team.

The board gave approval for Antonio Langham as a varsity football assistant coach with no supplement. Langham did not want to be paid for the position.
