SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its highly anticipated Fourth Annual “ConnectHER Women’s Conference: Believe in Brilliance,” set to take place on Friday, Oct. 20.

This event, sponsored by Coosa Valley Medical Center, will bring together women from diverse backgrounds and pathways to celebrate their unique brilliance and inspire one another.

Hosted at the J. Craig Smith Community Center in Sylacauga, this year’s conference offers attendees a remarkable experience for just $55 per person.

The ticket includes breakfast, lunch provided by Hickory Street Cafe, an exclusive tote bag, and the chance to hear from two dynamic speakers: Brenda Ladun, renowned news anchor, and Sue Garrett, affectionately known as “Mama Sue” on YouTube.

For those interested in group seating, tables of eight are available for $425.

The event is designed to welcome women from all walks of life, whether they are stay-at-home moms, entrepreneurs, retirees, businesswomen, or young women pursuing their dreams. It’s a gathering that aims to inspire, motivate, and foster connections among women across the state of Alabama.

Brenda Ladun, this year’s keynote speaker, is not just an accomplished journalist but also a cancer survivor and author of three motivational books. She continues to inspire others with her resilience and wisdom.

Sue Garrett, with her popular YouTube channel boasting over 32,000 subscribers, shares her Southern-style recipes along with nuggets of faith and wisdom, transcending the boundaries of the kitchen.

One of the highlights of the conference is announcing the winner of the 2023 Greater Sylacauga Area Woman of the Year Award. Eleven exceptional women have been nominated by their peers for this prestigious recognition. The Woman of the Year will be chosen by an impartial committee.

For those eager to be a part of this uplifting event, tickets can be purchased through the Sylacauga Chamber’s website or by calling the Sylacauga Chamber office at (256) 249-0308.

Further details and updates about the conference can also be found here.
