CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – An inmate, identified as 27-year-old Pershon O’Neal Pettway, escaped from work release duty in Childersburg early Tuesday morning, Sept. 5, according to an official release from the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC).
ADOC became aware of Pettway’s escape at approximately 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Pettway, currently serving a two-year sentence for receiving stolen property, is described as standing 6’1″ tall and weighing 135 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
