SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga High School senior Ansley Brown is the first Lady Aggie in school history to throw a perfect softball game.
The feat occurred Feb. 23 at the Central Alabama Softball Classic in Alexander City against Cleburne County High School.
The Lady Aggies defense backed up Brown making 15 consecutive outs behind her. Overall in the contest, she recorded nine fly outs and six ground outs, with no hits, no walks, and no opposing players reaching first base safely. The Lady Aggies won the game 4-0.
Sylacauga High School fielded its first Lady Aggies Softball team 20 years ago, making Brown’s accomplishment even more impressive.
