SYLACAUGA, Ala. – After coming off a bye week, head coach Matt Griffith said his Sylacauga Aggies are ready to face the Childersburg Tigers in Friday night’s homecoming game at Legion Stadium.
“We tackled every single day,” said Griffith. “We had to go back and fix some steps. You just want to go back and get better at what you’re doing. It’s helped us, there’s no doubt.”
Griffith facing Childersburg is a big game for all involved. “It’s important to this community and winning this football game,” said Griffith.
CHS poses threats against SHS according to Griffith. “Their quarterback is a phenomenal, fast athlete,” said Griffith. He said CHS has good receivers and are good up front on defense.
With the homecoming festivities happening all week long, Griffith said there are many distractions.
“You’ve got a ball game to win,” said Griffith. He said his players are focused and ready to play hard.
The 3-1 Aggies face the 2-2 Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Friday night.[su_youtube_advanced url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVKaireR0q8″ autoplay=”yes” loop=”yes” rel=”no” modestbranding=”yes” theme=”light”]
