SYLACAUGA, Ala. – RadioAlabama’s award-winning annual holiday food and toy drive benefiting Alabama Childhood Food Solutions (AFCS) and the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement (SAFE) is being held through Dec. 11.
Due to logistical issues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the original “Stuff the Bus” campaign will look a little different this year. Instead, the team at RadioAlabama is encouraging people to help “Stuff the Studio”.
“So much has been up in the air this year due to the pandemic. We’re doing our best to still maximize our efforts by centralizing a single drop-off location for this year’s Stuff the Studio Food and Toy Drive,” said RadioAlabama Executive Vice President Michael Brannon. “It’s definitely a different approach and we hope the public will continue to respond in a positive way. They already have! So much has been given by so many generous listeners over the last few years. We want to keep that going safely this year.”
People are asked to donate non-perishable food items and toys at RadioAlabama’s Studios at 99 N. Norton Ave. in Downtown Sylacauga. Look for the “Donate Here” sign and Christmas window display. Donations will be accepted safely and contact-free. Simply ring the bell at the front door and a RadioAlabama team member will assist.
Food will be donated to ACFS and toys will donated to SAFE. Cash donations for these organizations will also be accepted.
In previous years, thousands of pounds of food items and gifts have been provided to adults and children in hundreds of families who would otherwise not be able to celebrate the holidays.
The 5th annual award-winning Stuff the Studio Food & Toy Drive is presented by RadioAlabama’s MIX 106.5, KiX 100.3, and SylacaugaNews.com. RadioAlabama thanks its sponsors: Heritage South Credit Union, Affordable Heating & Air, Coosa Valley MRI, Chick-Fil-A.
