SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga’s newest shopping center along US Hwy. 280 is coming together.
At the ground breaking ceremony last June, Hutton Team LLC, the developer of the site, announced three initial stores that would anchor the project. Those stores being TJ Maxx, Petsense amd Hobby Lobby.
Today, TJ Maxx has its store logo on its 15,000 sq. ft. store’s front as well does Petsense. TJ Maxx has also begun the hiring process, holding interviews at the J. Craig Smith Community Center last week. SylacaugaNews.com spoke to TJ Maxx officials which said the turnout for interviews was overwhelming, which is believed to be a good indicator of the rest of the city’s excitement for opening day.
On Thursday, Hutton announced that Hibbett Sports, a sporting goods store located on Hwy. 280 in the shopping center beside Home Depot, will be moving 1/4 mile east on Hwy. 280 and move to Marble City Square.
SylacaugaNews.com attempted to contact Hibbett Sports about the move but could not make contact to its corporate office in Birmingham.
