SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga Mayor Jim Heigl announced at Tuesday night’s council meeting that paving will resume today.

Michael Rice, the head engineer of the project for Engineering, Environmental, and Forestry Services Company (EEFS), told the council and those in attendancesaid nine of the 20 streets in the paving project have been completed, and that the remaining 11 streets are smaller streets compared to those that have been completed.
Rice said Southeastern Sealcoating will work on six of the remaining 11 unpaved roadways. Those streets are:
- West Tenth St.
- West Clay St.
- West Walnut St.
- East Milton St
- North Norton Ave.
- South Main Ave.
Rice said the section of N. Norton Ave. behind the school will be paved on a Saturday in order to not disrupt school traffic.
