CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – On Tuesday, Oct. 11, the Childersburg Chamber of Commerce will host the “Your Health Matters” series of health-related events aimed at the area’s senior community.
The first event, “Cold & Flu Season” will take place at the Rainwater Library (124 9th Street SW) in Childersburg. Tabitha Royal of AIDB Senior Services & J&J Childersburg Pharmacy will be speaking.
“We’re inviting senior citizen groups from all across the greater Coosa Valley to this event with plans to make it an actual series of events after the first of the year,” said Chamber President, Tom Roberts. “We have some great resources lined up, who will provide important and timely information on health matters of concern, especially our senior communities.”
Light refreshments will be served starting at 11:00 a.m. Representatives from J&J Childersburg pharmacy will be available to answer questions, especially those relating to available flu vaccination programs. The program will begin at 12:00 p.m.
