SYLACAUGA, Ala. – This Tuesday, March 29, Harvey’s on Noble in Sylacauga will host a special event with a unique menu created by well-renowned local chef Jonathan Harrison.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., the premiere dining experience will include a four-course meal prepared by Harrison.

Each of the four menu items is paired with a select Old Forester Bourbon whiskey. The menu items are as follows:

Course 1 – Citrus Dressed Crabmeat Toast paired with 1870 (Original Batch)
Course 2 – Red Shakshuka, also known as “Egg in Purgatory,” paired with 1897 (Bottled in Bond)
Main Course – Bourbon Glazed Quail paired with 1920 (Prohibition Style)
Dessert – Shortbread with Bourbon Caramel, Apricot Jam, and Crème Anglaise paired with 1910 (Old Fine Whiskey)

“At Harvey’s we’re looking to create really unique experiences so [people] won’t have to travel outside of Sylacauga,” said Harvey’s on Noble general manager Skye Owens. “Jon [Harrison] is actually a friend of an employee that works at Harvey’s. We’ve never had a featured chef come in and do any of our events. We’ve always just done them ourselves, but we thought this would add a really unique dynamic to this event we’re having.”

Harrison, a native of Columbiana, recently was a competitor on Fox’s cooking show “Next Level Chef” featuring Gordon Ramsay. Harrison graduated from Auburn University and has always held a passion for cooking and how it brings people together. He currently provides catering, teaches cooking classes, and prepares food for private dinner parties.

The evening will also include live entertainment from musician Jonathan Bloom and an Old Forester representative will give an overview of each whiskey before every course.

Tickets are still available for the event at $95 per person which covers both tax and gratuity. Tickets are nonrefundable.
