MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Friday afternoon, June 2, Gov. Kay Ivey officially declared the Yellowhammer Cookie as Alabama’s state cookie.
Fourth grader Mary Claire Cook, from Montgomery, presented a batch of the special cookies to Gov. Ivey who personally tasted and approved them.
