SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Talladega County Republican Party (DEGAGOP) Executive Committee will be meeting from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Harvey’s on Noble on Thursday, Feb. 17.
The guest speaker will be Alabama Supreme Court Justice Kelli Wise. She has served since 2011 with Alabama’s highest court and is currently seeking to serve another term.
Justice Wise has a rich history of serving as a Republican elected official. She was first elected to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals in 2000, becoming the youngest woman ever elected to sit on an Alabama Appellate Court.
After she was re-elected in 2006, she was later selected to serve as Presiding Judge of the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals. During Judge Wise’s tenure, she authored numerous opinions aimed at strengthening criminal laws and protecting citizens from violent offenders.
Meeting attendance is free. Optional meals may be purchased in advance for $31.25 by Feb. 10.
