SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Thursday morning, May 5, owner/broker Becky Bolton and the realtors at Front Porch Realty invited the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce and other community members over for their grand opening.
Located at 2645 Talladega Hwy near Fairmont Park, Front Porch Realty is a new real estate agency focused on serving either current or potential homeowners in Talladega, Clay, Coosa, St. Clair, and Tallapoosa counties. However, Bolton says that they are permitted to buy or sell property anywhere within the state of Alabama.
“I have been selling real estate in Sylacauga for five years now,” said Bolton. “I wanted to open my own brokerage because I wanted the people to be the most important aspect of the business.”
Bolton has surrounded herself with other talented individuals in the real estate realm including Beverly Murphy, a 15-year veteran selling real estate in the area, and newcomers to the field Karlie Royster and Katie Turner.
“They are brand new to real estate,” Bolton remarked when discussing Turner and Royster. “We haven’t ruined them yet so they are full of energy, and they are ready to help.”
Front Porch Realty are members of the Greater Alabama MLS (Multiple Listing Services) and the Lake Martin MLS. They have plans to expand into Alexander City soon.
On this day, though, Bolton was taken aback by the tremendous support she and her team received at their grand opening.
“I have been completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of people to come welcome us,” Bolton expressed. “It’s mind-blowing.”
Due to the amount of people that came to celebrate and congratulate the Front Porch Realty staff, the porch literally couldn’t hold everyone that attended as you can see in the featured picture above.
Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Laura Strickland had plenty of great things to say about Bolton.
“If you don’t know Becky well, she has the [most] entrepreneurial spirit of anyone that has lived in Sylacauga,” said Strickland. “She has had so many successful ventures, and here she is on yet another one.
Talking to Bolton, Strickland commented that Bolton “believes in our community and loves Sylacauga.”
“You have invested in Sylacauga once again,” Stickland stated, “and that means a lot to us. We’re very proud of this new venture and your courage and spirit to bring another new small business to Sylacauga.”
