SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The federal government has launched a new website – COVIDTests.gov – where Americans may order up to four free at-home COVID-19 tests per household.
The White House expects tests to ship, also free, within 7-12 days via first-class mail with up to three additional days for delivery.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at-home testing is recommended when experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or five days after suspected exposure.
In addition, as of last Saturday, private insurance companies are required to cover up to eight at-home rapid tests per month.
