TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Four South Talladega County high school volleyball teams will compete in the AHSAA South Regionals at the Montgomery Multiplex on Thursday, Oct. 24.
The tournament will follow a single-elimination format, with matches starting early in the day.
In Class 5A, Sylacauga, the runners-up in Area 8, will face UMS-Wright at 8:30 a.m.
In Class 1A, Area 8 champion Fayetteville will take on Leroy at 11:00 a.m., while Area 8 runners-up Winterboro meet Millry before that at 9:45 a.m.
B.B. Comer, the Class 3A, Area 8 runners-up, will play Mobile Christian at 12:15 p.m.
All teams must win to advance, as it’s a “win or go home” scenario for these schools.
The regionals promise high-stakes action as the teams vie for a spot in the state tournament, beginning next week on Oct. 29.
