ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. – Four Central Alabama Community College employees have been selected by their colleagues to receive 2026 Alabama Community College System Chancellor’s Awards.
The recipients are Stephanie Miller, Director of Financial Aid, in the administrator category; Jamie Thornton, Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students and Student Life Coordinator, for support staff; Wesley Talton, History Instructor, for academic faculty; and Dr. Robert Davis, Business Instructor and Division Chair, for technical faculty.
The Chancellor’s Awards are among the highest employee recognitions in the Alabama Community College System. The awards honor employees who demonstrate professional performance, leadership, excellence, and a commitment to student success and their institutions.
Miller has helped students navigate financial aid programs while leading her team through changes to federal and state regulations. Central Alabama Community College said she has continued to provide students with accurate information, support, and service during the changes.
Thornton supports Student Services and coordinates student life activities. According to the college, her work has helped expand opportunities for students to connect with the college, participate in activities, and engage in campus life.
Talton teaches history and has led Central Alabama Community College’s study-abroad program for the past two years. Under his leadership, students have traveled to London and Paris while earning academic credit and gaining international educational and cultural experiences.
Davis serves as a business instructor and division chair, providing classroom instruction and academic leadership. His work supports students pursuing educational and career goals and contributes to the college’s academic programs.
“These employees represent the dedication, professionalism, and commitment to student success that we value so highly at Central Alabama Community College,” President Jeff Lynn said. “We are proud to have Stephanie, Jamie, Wes, and Rob represent CACC as our 2026 Chancellor’s Award recipients.”
The four recipients will be recognized during the Alabama Community College Association’s Chancellor’s Awards Recognition Program on Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa.
