SYLACAUGA & CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Both Sylacauga and Childersburg hosted Food Truck Friday night events ahead of their high school spring football jamboree games on Friday evening, May 15.

Sylacauga’s event, presented by Sylacauga Parks and Recreation, is held monthly from spring through fall and features live music and decorated picnic tables in Central Park. The next event is scheduled for Friday, June 12, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The Childersburg Area Chamber of Commerce organized Childersburg’s first food truck event. Organizer Kara Eslinger said the city plans to continue the new tradition at Kiwanis Park in downtown Childersburg.

“We’ll check calendars throughout the area to avoid conflicts and work on building up a roster for rotating food truck vendors,” Eslinger said.
