January’s First Responder of the Month is Brittany Thrower of the Sylacauga Ambulance service.
Thrower is a paramedic. She volunteered at the Fayetteville Fire Department in 2015 before receiving her paramedic’s license in February 2019 from Jeff State.
Thrower’s mother was a nurse which inspired her to pursue a profession in the medical field. She hopes to one day become a flight medic. Brittany is dedicated and truly passionate about what she does and it shoes in her care for her patients.
“It means a lot to me to serve this community,” said Thrower. “I grew up in this community, and I’m grateful that I can make a difference.”
Thank you Brittany Thrower for your service!
