TALLADEGA, Ala. – At its annual shareholders meeting last week, First Bank of Alabama was honored by Gov. Kay Ivey with a commendation recognizing 175 years of banking.
The meeting took place last Tuesday, Feb. 14.
Along with Gov. Ivey’s presentation, U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers gifted First Bank of Alabama with a certificate of recognition.
The First Bank of Alabama started in 1848 when Mayor James Isbell planted its roots, opening the Isbell Bank in 1848.
