SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A Birmingham woman, 31-year-old Tahila Myicole Lomax, has been arrested by US Marshalls and is the fifth person indicted in the alleged murder-for-hire of 46-year-old Bradford Franklin Isbell in Sylacauga.
Responding to a 10:00 p.m. gunshot call back on June 23, 2021, officers with the Sylacauga Police Department found Isbell’s body at 794 Harper Springs Rd.
Rachel Elizabeth Hayes, age 32, was found inside the house, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds but still alive.
Markkeis Antwain Towns, age 31, is charged with fatally shooting Isbell. He is currently being held in the Kilby Correctional Facility after pleading guilty to manslaughter in an unrelated case last year.
Montrell Towns, Kiera Monthelia Turner, and Allana Amani Reid are the others charged with hiring Markkeis Towns to kill Isbell.
A hearing is scheduled for next month on Wednesday, July 24, in the Jefferson County Circuit Court on a motion to dismiss Turner’s indictment, because the crime is alleged to have happened in Talladega County, not Jefferson County.
To date, no charges have been filed in Talladega County relating to the deadly 2021 shooting incident.
