TALLADEGA, Ala. – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released a statement that no federal hate crime was committed in regards to the noose found in NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace’s garage in last weekend’s race at Talladega Superspeedway.

“On Monday, fifteen FBI special agents conducted numerous interviews regarding the situation at Talladega Superspeedway, and after a thorough review of the facts and evidence surrounding this event, we have concluded that no federal crime was committed,” the press release stated.

The FBI concluded and found evidence that the noose found in garage number four has been there since October 2019.

NASCAR also recently banned the presentation of confederate flags at any events in response to the incident involving Bubba Wallace, NASCAR’s lone African-American driver.
