FAYETTEVILLE, Ala. – On Friday, April 5, Fayetteville High School senior Hevin Hurley signed a letter of intent to carry her volleyball talents to the next level as she inked with a four year institution, Champion Christian College in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
With her parents, coaches, and teammates around her, Hevin was gracious enough to talk and show her excitement to head far away from home to play a sport in which she loves.
Hurley noted that she has been a varsity player for the Wolves for four years. In that time, she has compiled some amazing stats with 46 aces, a 92 percent serving accuracy, 42 kills, 266 assists, and 105 digs.
“I love to set people up for the kill, and I think that is what I will doing most at the college level,” said Hurley. “I could not have reached this goal without my dad who has taught me so much and, of course, my mother’s support, but my coaches and girls have been right there through all of this. I’m just so excited.”
Her Head Coach Ginger McArthur added, “Hevin has been an absolute joy to coach, and she is a big reason why the Fayetteville Lady Wolves went 23-13-1 on the volleyball court this season. We expect to see and hear great things from Hot Springs, Arkansas about Hevin.”
Continuing in the praise of Hurley, Fayetteville High School Athletic Director John Limbaugh said, “In order to get to the next level of any sport, you must excel in the classroom and then put in the extra hard work whether it is on the court, field, or diamond. Hevin has certainly done that.”
Congratulations Hevin, we know you will be great!
