FAYETTEVILLE, Ala. – In July, the Shoals area will embrace an extraordinary opportunity for young people, facilitating 22 Alabama high school students to dive deep into the world of entertainment, hospitality, and tourism like never before.
One of the selected students, Eli Thornton of Fayetteville High School, will be attending the five day camp in July.
Reach and Teach is an educational 501(c)3 nonprofit, and in partnership with the University of North Alabama (UNA) Department of Entertainment Industry and UNA School of the Arts, they have created the RNT+ Experience Camp this summer.
For five days, Thornton and the other 21 students will have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals to gain experience and insight into careers in the fields of hospitality, tourism, and entertainment. All of their training and experiences will build up to an epic music event that students will help execute.
Participants will delve into the hospitality, tourism, and entertainment industries of the Shoals area, gaining insight into various career paths in those fields.
Additionally, workshops led by industry professionals will offer students a glimpse into their day-to-day responsibilities, career trajectories, and opportunities for growth.
