FAYETTEVILLE, Ala. – The second annual Fayetteville High School (FHS) Marching Band Car Show was a huge success on Saturday, April 15, with a large number of people having a great time.
The weather could not have been better for the event as the day kicked off with the FHS Marching Band playing the National Anthem.
All of the unique and beautiful cars and trucks were lined up around the track of FarmLinks Field at Fayetteville High School. The public was treated to an outstanding time with vendors in the east end zone, Mac’s 1 Catering was selling hot delicious food, and the band was selling water, coffee, soft drinks, lemonade, and peanuts.
There were door prizes to be given away to the car entries and the vendors as well as a money tree for the car participants.
The day ended with awards for the first through fourth places and an overall best in show.
Fourth Place: Tim Burks with a 1967 Chevelle
Third Place: Ronald and Edna Harris with a 1965 Chevelle Malibu
Second Place: Tim Hickman with a 1955 Chevy Truck
First Place: Todd Watson with a 1962 Chevelle
Best in Show: Dave McGalliard with a 1960 Oldsmobile Super 8
