FAYETTEVILLE, Ala. – On Sunday morning, Aug. 4, around 10:18 a.m., a customer at the Fayetteville Dollar General collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. Store employees and bystanders immediately jumped to action, initiating CPR and calling 911.
The Fayetteville Fire Department and the Lay Lake Fire Department responded and were on scene within five minutes.
BLS resuscitative measures were initiated by EMTs and First Responders, where a pulse was ultimately regained with Sylacauga Ambulance Service providing additional advanced care and transport to the Fayetteville Fire Department helipad.
Life Saver 4 Sylacauga responded and transported the patient.
