SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Police Department arrested 48-year-old Minh Ngoc Tran on Wednesday afternoon on charges of sexual misconduct.
Tran, the owner of Nail Line near Walmart, was arrested at work and his bond is set at $500. He is accused of non-consensual touching of a juvenile female.
SylacaugaNews.com was exclusively on the scene as the arrest was made.
“In terms of sexual offense, this is a minor charge. But it shows that we take this seriously,” said Sylacauga Police Chief Kelley Johnson. “Usually there are other victims. We hope that others will come forward. If this is happening in our community, we want it to stop.”
Sexual Misconduct is a Class “A” misdemeanor and punishable by up to 1 year in jail.
