Education and support series for diabetics starts this Thursday, March 12 from the Alabama Extension Service

TALLADEGA, Ala. – With diabetes reported at epidemic levels across the country, the Talladega County office of the Alabama Extension Service is addressing the problem, putting together a free education and support series of programs for individuals diagnosed with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

Weekly classes start on Thursday, March 12.

Make sure you are signed up by contacting Nutrition and Health Extension Agent Regina Meadows at (334) 752-2817, or you can call the extension office at (256) 362-6187.

Learn to manage your diabetes with diet, regular physical activity, medication and medical monitoring, healthy problem solving, and more tools at your disposal. Eight classes over a sixteen-week period will alternate between educational sessions and important activities.
