TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Families in Sylacauga and Childersburg are preparing for a weekend filled with Easter festivities, including rescheduled egg hunts and a planned event in Childersburg.
Sylacauga Parks and Recreation’s Flashlight Egg Hunt, originally slated for two weekends ago, will now take place on Friday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Noble Park.
Children ages seven through ten are invited to bring their flashlights and containers to collect eggs. The event is sponsored by Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union and Milo’s Hamburgers.
On Saturday, March 23, at 10:00 a.m., the Egg Hunt and Bunny Brunch will unfold at Fairmont Park, tailored for children ages one to six.
The park will be divided into sections for different age groups. Attendees can also anticipate a visit from the Easter Bunny and breakfast options from a food truck.
Meanwhile, in Childersburg, the City-Wide Easter Egg Event will proceed as planned on March 23. Starting at 10:00 a.m. at Childersburg’s rec center, children up to fifth grade can engage in various activities, including crafts, a coloring contest, and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.
The egg hunt kicks off at 11:00 a.m. at the football stadium. This event is free for all attendees, with volunteering opportunities available by contacting Tova Lee at (256) 404-1509.
