SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The EARTH Foundation Board has announced its latest step in the redevelopment of the former Eva Jane building of Avondale Mills.
In a press release, the Foundation revealed the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) inviting qualified general contractors to participate in the project.
EARTH is looking to transform the historic building into a dynamic mixed-use space, blending its rich heritage with modern needs for workforce development and innovation.
Interested contractors are directed to contact Ryan Coleman at Difference Architecture to obtain the necessary questionnaire for the RFP process.
“We are thrilled to move forward with the redevelopment of EARTH,” said Margaret Morton, President of the EARTH Foundation Board. “This project represents a unique opportunity to preserve Talladega County’s rich history while creating new opportunities for workforce development and community engagement.”
Proposals must be submitted by Wednesday, June 5, with a selection committee from the EARTH Foundation expected to review submissions the following week. The chosen contractor will spearhead redevelopment efforts commencing immediately.
