SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A Talladega man was killed early Sunday, Nov. 30 in a single-vehicle crash just north of Sylacauga, according to authorities.
Roy W. Tarwater Jr., 60, died when the 1997 Toyota 4Runner he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree at about 12:15 a.m.
Tarwater was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred on Oakdale Rd. near Odena Rd., roughly eight miles north of Sylacauga in Talladega County. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate.
