LINCOLN, Ala. – Dovetail Landing, dedicated to serving Alabama’s Veterans and their families, has announced key leadership assignments to its Executive Board of Directors and the appointment of an Executive Director.
Robert Holmes, retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General, has been named Executive Director. Holmes, a decorated combat veteran and career Special Operations Officer, brings over four decades of leadership experience to the role.
With RadioAlabama, Holmes also serves as the host of the Bull Gap Journal, an award-winning public affairs program that talks with community leaders about topics pertaining to life, leadership, and common sense.
Chad Jones, President and CEO of First Bank of Alabama, has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors. Jones is a prominent figure in Alabama’s banking industry, known for his community involvement, which aligns perfectly with Dovetail Landing’s mission.
Judge Philip Seay, the Presiding Circuit Judge of St. Clair County, will serve as Board Vice Chairman. With over two decades of judicial service, Seay is respected for his dedication to public service and the citizens of Central Alabama.
Alana Centilli, whose vision led to the foundation of Dovetail Landing, has been appointed Board Secretary. Alana Centilli and her husband Pat are known for their journey with their son Daniel, a Marine Veteran. Centilli’s dedication to preserving her son’s legacy fuels Dovetail Landing’s mission.
These leaders share a commitment to Dovetail Landing and supporting Veterans as they transition to civilian life. Nestled on 57 acres in Lincoln, the organization provides services including workforce training, mental health assistance, and guidance on VA benefits.
“We believe Dovetail Landing is ideally positioned to respond to the major national health crisis affecting our returning Veterans,” Centilli said. “It’s a ‘heart’ project for me, driven by love and determination to make a difference.”
