SYLACAUGA, Ala. – October will feature one of the best Community Links forums to date featuring cancer survivor Landyn Bassett Strickland.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Coosa Valley Medical Center has scheduled an inspirational speaker in Landyn Bassett Strickland to share her story in the presentation “So Much More Than Wearing Pink” on Monday, Oct. 10, at the B.B. Comer Memorial Library.

Strickland, 25, is a breast cancer survivor. She will share her journey through cancer and the importance of self-exams and mammograms.

Lunch will be served at 11:30, and the presentation will begin at noon.
