CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Fire and Rescue Department has aided both First Responders and citizens of the city by placing a number of new defibrillators throughout town.
The decision to install new Automated External Defibrillators (AED) helps First Responders act as quickly as possible in the case of emergency.
AEDs measure the rhythm of the heart and, if necessary, shock the heart with electric pulses to restart it.
Childersburg Fire and Rescue is offering both training with the AEDs along with CPR classes.
If you’re interested in the training or want to learn more, contact Childersburg Fire and Rescue at (256) 378-7062.
