SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Coosa Valley Medical Center has updated its COVID-19 cases.
CVMC said it will continue sharing COVID-19 information daily to help keep the community informed. CVMC continues to care for patients while strictly adhering to CDC guidelines for those patients who are being tested and/or treated for COVID-19.
In the hospital:
- 44 COVID-19 tests have been completed at CVMC, not all have been resulted
- 1 patient is currently hospitalized at CVMC with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis
- 5 outpatients confirmed positive for COVID-19 have been advised to immediately quarantine at home
- 2 inpatients that tested positive have been discharged and advised to immediately quarantine at home
CVMC has implemented deep cleaning protocols in all patient care areas. CVMC team members are actively following meticulous infection control practices including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.
CVMC has continued to test patients who have active symptoms relative to COVID-19, and remain prepared to provide care to any patient testing positively. CVMC says that the hospital continues to be a safe place for all patients needing care.
The hospital is also asking people to pray twice daily at 1:19. “Beginning immediately, every night at 1:19 a.m. and every day at 1:19 p.m., if you are able to, and choose to do so, we will pause to offer first a prayer of thanksgiving for the opportunity to impact people’s lives. Further, we will pray for God’s peace, replacement of fear with courage and stability around COVID-19.”
