SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Two people are now hospitalized at Coosa Valley Medical Center for COVID-19.
In a Tuesday update the hospital released it has tested four more people since yesterday for a total of 37 tests conducted.
In the update, four outpatients tested positive for COVID-19 and have been advised to immediately quarantine at home.
One inpatient that tested positive has been discharged, and has been advised to quarantine.
CVMC has implemented deep cleaning protocols in all patient care areas. CVMC team members are actively following meticulous infection control practices including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.
CVMC has continued to test patients who have active symptoms relative to COVID-19, and remain prepared to provide care to any patient testing positively. CVMC says that the hospital continues to be a safe place for all patients needing care.
The hospital is also asking people to pray twice daily at 1:19. “Beginning immediately, every night at 1:19 a.m. and every day at 1:19 p.m., if you are able to, and choose to do so, we will pause to offer first a prayer of thanksgiving for the opportunity to impact people’s lives. Further, we will pray for God’s peace, replacement of fear with courage and stability around COVID-19.”
