CVMC updates COVID-19 at hospital – April 24, 2020


SYLACAUGA, Ala. – One person is currently hospitalized with a COVID-19 diagnosis at Coosa Valley Medical Center.

114 people ahve been tested for the virus at CVMC. 13 have tested positive.

CVMC will continue sharing COVID-19 information daily to help keep its community informed. CVMC continues to care for patients while strictly adhering to CDC guidelines for those patients who are being tested and/or treated for COVID-19.

Your Health is Important:

Please remember the CVMC Emergency Department as well as all other outpatient areas are still open for your healthcare needs. We have implemented safe, various ways to make sure your healthcare is not interrupted during this time.  Keep your appointment or if you need medical care, please seek it. Your health is important, now, more than ever.

CVMC has implemented deep cleaning protocols in all patient care areas. CVMC team members are actively following meticulous infection control practices including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.

CVMC has continued to test patients who have active symptoms relative to COVID-19 and remain prepared to provide care to any patient testing positively. Please be reminded that the hospital continues to be a safe place for all patients needing care.

Beginning immediately, every night at 1:19am and every day at 1:19pm, if you are able to, and choose to do so, we will pause to offer first a prayer of thanksgiving for the opportunity to impact people’s lives. Further, we will pray for God’s peace, replacement of fear with courage and stability around COVID-19.
