SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Current Miss Sylacauga Ibby Dickson has claimed yet another crown.
On Sunday night, the Sylacauga native was crowned Miss Jefferson County 2022.
“I am thrilled to be able to represent the Jefferson County area at the Miss Alabama Pageant,” said Dickson. “This county is incredibly diverse and I am looking forward to being able to connect with individuals and families around the area. I cannot wait to start advocating for my social impact initiative, Mentoring Matters, as well as encouraging young women to be apart of this program.”
Dickson was named Miss Sylacauga in 2019, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Miss Alabama organization canceled its 2020 competition, giving contestants an additional year to represent their organization and platform. She was also among the top 12 semifinalists in this year’s Miss Alabama competition in Birmingham.
Dickson will represent Jefferson County at the 2022 Miss Alabama competition.
