SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Cuppa Grace Coffee and Cafe Shop, well-admired within the Sylacauga community, celebrated a significant milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday morning, Sept. 20.
The event began at 9:30 a.m. and marked the start of an exciting new chapter for the establishment as it embarks on a journey in a new location.
Cuppa Grace has become a cornerstone of the Sylacauga community over the past eight years, and its popularity had led owner Jacintha Hay to look for expansion opportunity.
Recognizing the need for a larger space, Cuppa Grace started plans to relocate its main shop to the former Odie’s Deli location, just a few blocks away on N Broadway Ave. The move took place within two months with a soft opening near the beginning of August.
“We joined an already busy atmosphere,” remarked Laura Strickland, President and CEO of the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce. “I love to see that this is the place to gather in the mornings. Cuppa Grace, they’re not new to the community, but they’re in a new location. We’re so excited.”
At their new location, Cuppa Grace’s operating hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
No matter where they reside, Hay and her staff are endeared to Sylacauga and the surrounding area.
“I don’t know if there’s anybody in town that’s not a customer of Cuppa Grace,” Strickland noted.
