CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – An arrest has been made in the murder case of 35-year-old Homer Deshawn Calloway.
The Childersburg Police Department announced on social media it has detained its suspect, 19-year-old Kev’vakius Jalik Jemison of Talladega, after a week long search.
CPD Chief Richard McClelland told SylacaugaNews.com his department had a capital murder warrant out for Jemison’s arrest who is accused of killing Calloway at a home off Veaslett Ln. on the night of Aug. 4.
McClelland said he had the help of the Talladega County Drug Task Force in the investigation and the search for Jemison.
Jemison is charged with Capital Murder and First Degree Robbery. He is being held in the Talladega Co. Jail with no bond.
