SYLACAUGA, Ala. – COVID-19 numbers are on the rise in Alabama.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 risk indicator, there is a very high amount of COVID-19 activity in Talladega County placing it in the ‘red’ category.
Talladega County is currently reporting 8,836 positive COVID-19 cases. Talladega County has reported a total of 188 deaths due to COVID-19.
The state of Alabama alone is currently reporting 577,463 positive COVID-19 cases. Alabama has recorded 11,510 deaths due to COVID-19.
While residents across the state of Alabama continue to make strides against the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccination numbers are low compared to other states across the United States. Residents are encouraged to receive the vaccine.
